About IBEW 206

Local 206 was chartered by the IBEW in 1979 as a consolidation of all employees of the former U.S. West company (now CenturyLink) into a single, statewide union. Previously, telecommunications workers were part of several IBEW local unions across Montana. The IBEW has a proud heritage of representing telecommunications workers since the first telephone systems were installed in the state of Montana.

Local 206 also represents employees in the telecommunications construction industry, which installs telecommunications cables and equipment throughout Western Montana. 

Local Union 206 Leadership
